ABOUT

Wes Millner, a native of Atlanta, has combined a 33-year career in the U.S. Army, where he retired at the rank of Colonel, with a successful professional background in real estate development, construction, and general management. A licensed broker and commercial/residential general contractor, Millner joined John Wieland Homes soon after serving on active duty for the first Gulf War. A year later, in 1995, he started his own real estate firm, Millner Land & Development Company, which grew to over $10 million in revenue and has enjoyed a reputation as one of Atlanta’s most respected residential builder-developers. With numerous awards and decorations for his service in the armed forces, Millner had 3 tours of duty during wartime; 1990-1991, 2005-2007, and 2009-2010, when he served in the Middle East. Millner has been awarded the Legion of Merit and earned two Meritorious Service Medals for wartime duty.

Millner graduated from the University of Georgia and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1988.. He completed the OPM-Executive Program at Harvard Business School, Boston, MA in 2002. His military education is extensive and includes Pilot training, Aeromedical Evacuation, The Command and General Staff College, and Defense Support of Civil Authorities.

As the general contractor, Millner runs day to day operations for his company, Millner Construction Management, developing, building spec and custom homes and renovations for his clients. Millner has built homes and managed the construction of projects ranging millions to smaller renovation and additions. The hallmark of his work is military grade execution. He offers his clients the full range of construction services and takes a hands-on approach on every job. Millner last served in the Army as the Director of training (G7) for Army Reserve Medical Command. Millner Construction Management is a veteran owned business and Millner plans to remain involved with the US Army as a volunteer, working on Veteran transition related opportunities.

Millner lives in Atlanta with his wife Nancy and his two sons, Wesley and Wyatt and daughter, Megan. He is active in the fellowship of his church, enjoys outdoor recreation, timber farming, and cycling.
